Digital TV
Janelle Price, a Digital TV Liaison Officer employed by Federal Government and based in Albany, visited Peaceful Bay on 11th March and presented to our Committee and community members. The meeting was well attended. Janelle informed the meeting that a subsidy scheme to convert to digital tv is available for all Peaceful Bay properties. Each freehold and leasehold property in Peaceful Bay is entitled to a subsidy. Total cost is $250 to install a satellite dish, cabling, and includes a satellite decoder box. Eligible pensioners get the same for free.
To apply for the subsidy and arrange the installation use one of the following contacts;
1) web site – www.digitalready.gov.au
2) information line – phone 1800 20 10 13 and say you want to apply for the Satellite Subsidy Scheme
3) or if you having difficulty with the above contacts then phone Janelle Price on 9842 5800
Digital TV channels are now available and subsidy schemes are in place that will help you convert to the new digital format.
The analogue TV repeater at Peaceful Bay will no longer be in service from around the middle of 2013. In order to receive TV transmission after that date you will need to convert to the new digital format.

Join the Committee in 2013

A couple of Committee members are relocating at the end of the year and so we’re likely to have a few vacancies shortly. The Progress Association is always looking for additional input into your Community. Committee members for 2013 will be appointed at the AGM in early January.
